A BRITISH man has been found dead at a hotel in a Thailand expat hotspot.
The body of the 58-year-old was discovered by rescue workers in a hotel with Phuket Tourist Police)
Emergency services were called to the You and Me apartment complex at Phra Baramee Road at 8:46 am.
The police reported that they had found no signs of a struggle in the room.
PATONG: Medication was found in the man’s room.
It is believed the man is originally from Stockport.
Thai Tourist Police found medication for indigestion in the man’s room but say it is unclear if they had anything to do with the man’s death at this stage.
A friend of the deceased, Chanitree “Natta” Sireekerger, has been trying to contact relatives to make arrangements for the man’s funeral or repatriation, according to Thai media.
Police say that he had died several days before the discovery.
