The giant panda is completely white and has been captured on camera showing its beautiful fur.
For the first time, researchers capture images of a giant albino giant panda. The bear, which conservationists believe is between 1 and 2 years old, was photographed at the Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province in China.
Albinism can be found throughout the animal kingdom, however it is very strange to occur. Albinism usually occurs as a result of a genetic mutation that prevents the production of melanin and although it makes the people or animals that suffer it more susceptible to light, it does not affect the reproductive or physiological functions.
Based on the images of the newly discovered panda, his gait and stature are those of a young and healthy adult; and researchers hope it continues to thrive in nature.
The panda filmed in Wolong, is the first completely white individual registered in the nature … which indicates that there is a mutant gene of albinism in the population of the giant panda.
The white panda’s documentation was captured by a monitoring system that was recently installed by Wolong Wildlife Grid for research purposes in December 2018. Since the photos were captured in April and published earlier this week, Wolong researchers expect Increase the number of monitoring systems in the region so that they can track the movements of the albino panda.
