In an unprecedented move, Kempinski Hotels, celebrated as Europe’s premier luxury hotel chain announces its expansion into Vietnam with the launch of an opulent resort along the scenic banks of the Saigon River. The Kempinski Saigon River Resort, envisaged by the world-renowned Kengo Kuma & Associates, seamlessly blends Vietnam’s rich cultural tapestry with cutting-edge design, setting new standards for luxury in Southeast Asia.

For over a century, Kempinski has epitomized European elegance and luxury. Now, the brand is bringing its heritage to the vibrant landscapes of Vietnam. Located in the tranquil area of Dong Nai, just outside the bustling energy of Ho Chi Minh City, the resort promises an escape not just to a place of luxurious comfort but to a sanctuary that respects and reflects local traditions and beauty.

René Nijhof, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kempinski Hotels, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture. “We have been a part of Asia’s hotel story since 1992, yet the launch in Vietnam marks a thrilling chapter. We aim to encapsulate the spirit of the region, bringing to life the serene world of southern Vietnam’s rivers and rice fields,” he stated. Kempinski Saigon River is not just a hotel but a re-envisioned experience of what a riverside retreat can be.

The resort features 100 meticulously designed guestrooms and suites, starting from a generous 65 square meters. The ten suites, including an extraordinary Presidential Suite, offer unmatched luxury with sweeping views of the Saigon River. Each room is a haven of tranquillity, with interiors that echo the emerald hues of the nearby rice paddies and the river’s gentle flow.

The Kempinski Saigon River isn’t just about luxurious accommodation; it’s about creating a holistic experience. The sprawling 1,500-square-meter Resense Spa offers a sanctuary for rejuvenation, incorporating local ingredients and healing practices into its treatments. Gastronomes will enjoy various dining options, including a signature Vietnamese restaurant, an all-day dining venue, and a chic riverside bar.

Partnership with Ecopark Corporation, a visionary Vietnamese property developer known for its sustainable and successful real estate projects, underscores the project’s commitment to quality and luxury. Trung T. Luong, Vice Chairman of the owning company, noted, “Kempinski’s heritage and our expertise combine to redefine luxury riverside living for both travelers and future residents.”

The resort is part of a broader 55-hectare development, including residences, schools, and retail spaces, all interconnected along a 700-meter riverfront. This expansive development is complemented by strategic infrastructure improvements in Dong Nai, including a new international airport and enhanced road and railway systems, poised to boost the region’s accessibility and economic growth.

As Kempinski Hotels steps into Vietnam, it brings with it a legacy of luxury and a forward-thinking approach to hospitality. It promises to enchant guests with authentic, luxurious experiences deeply rooted in the country’s local culture and breathtaking landscapes.
