The government and private sector have joined forces to promote employment during the COVID-19 crisis at the Smart SME Expo 2020 event at the end of this month, which will feature promising franchises and business investment opportunities, as well as special financial of fers.
Being held for the 6th consecutive year, the Smart SME Expo 2020 will be taking place from 29th October to 1st November at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition Center in Nonthaburi on the theme New Normal Together.
The event will feature more than 40 franchises selected by the Department of Business Development, costing from thousands to hundreds of thousands of baht in investment. It will also host business matching sessions with businesses in neighbouring countries.
Businesses participating in this expo will be arranged into six zones, namely promising franchises for investment, health and beauty, food and beverages, innovations and technology, financial institutions, logistics and other services.
Special financial offers from banks will be provided at this event, such as special loans for SMEs from the Government Savings Bank, emergency loans for COVID-19 affected persons from the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, and special collateral-free loans for exporters from the Export-Import Bank of Thailand.
In addition, the event will host seminars on business trends, and offer free skills’ workshops for people affected by COVID-19 layoffs, and persons looking to launch their own businesses.
The Smart SME Expo 2020 late this month, is being presented by the PMG Corporation, the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Industrial Promotion, the National Food Institute, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
